Mackay Goodwin, one of Australia’s leading insolvency and advisory firms, has appointed Gavin King as a Bankruptcy Trustee. Gavin brings an impressive 15-years of experience in accounting, bankruptcy, and corporate insolvency to the role.

Gavin’s career boasts significant roles, including being an Associate and the Director of Insolvency at Condon Advisory Group, a Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy and a Registered Liquidator. He has a solid track record in preserving significant corporate and personal assets and reviving businesses on the brink of collapse.

On his appointment, Gavin expressed his enthusiasm: “I am excited to join Mackay Goodwin and I look forward to bringing my experience and expertise to a team that is dedicated to innovation, and is known for its ability to deliver exceptional outcomes for its clients.”

Gavin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from Western Sydney University, a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting from Chartered Accountants ANZ, and an Advanced Certificate in Insolvency from the Australian Restructuring and Turnaround Association. He also holds a Certificate of Accreditation as a Standard Mental Health First Aider from Mental Health First Aid Australia.

He also currently holds professional memberships at the Penrith Chamber of Commerce, where he holds the office of Secretary; is head convener of the Parramatta Accountants Discussion Group (PADG); is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand (CA ANZ); is a member of the Association of Independent Insolvency Practitioners (AIIP); is a member of Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA) and a member of The Alternative Board (TAB).
